So I think the first audio chat went well for the most part. To anyone who left early, I wasn't talking because there was a problem with my mic volume, which I ended up fixing for the later 3/4s of the conversation.
Personally, I felt it was better with less people. There were less people talking over each other. In the future, do you all think that the audio chats should be limited to a certain number of people?
Does anyone have any other feedback? |

That's 6 French native speakers and 3 English native speakers 
We're gonna speak in both French and English, so that we can all practice.
Also, Alexis has an Australian accent, while I and Xiao have an American accent. Australians speak more like British people than Americans, I think. So hopefully that will give everyone participating a range of English accents to learn from. |

| So I finally got around to editing the first lesson post. There's still work to be done on it though. I still need to touch up some of the examples, which I will do probably later today. Anyhow, hmm, forums aren't considered social networks?
I prefer forums I think. On social networks, it's really easy for your posts to not receive any attention or be overlooked in the mass of information other people post. On forums, it's easier for everyone to share what they have to share and be heard.
So, I'm watching the Olympics here and the American commentators absolutely cannot say French names. A guy named Faivre Picon was in it, and the American commentator called him "Farver Pecan" xD
Edit: Fu, I'm a dumb American too. My dear "Farver Pecan" is a woman, not a guy. |

Did everyone have a good Valentine's Day? I got a box of chocolates from my mom lol So that was nice. And had pizza for dinner, of course.
Also, there are currently 3 native English speakers on the Skype group for y'all to practice with - myself, Alexis (aqueenoffairys) and Xiao. |

I'd be willing to do this My Skype is Coquilame if anyone wants to add me. Though I'm really busy this and the next week, so probably won't do any voice chatting til after that if anyone wants.
My oral French skills are barely existent, even though I can read quite well, and write just well enough to be understood. I bought Assimil New French with Ease and Using French to practice that and improve upon my quite obvious American accent. |
