Pfiou, après plusieurs heures de boulot couplées à une bronchite j'ai fini par terminer cette traduction.
Voici donc:
Spoiler
After the departure of Thomas Romain, the project of the creation of Code Lyoko Serie has started. Tania Palumbo became the artistic director. It was at this moment that were developed two key documents of the animated series.
The first was called the Bible Chart. This book sets the costumes of each character, the appearance of monsters, design sets ... in short, all the graphic universe of the series. God bless us , after a titanic job search CodeLyoko.fr managed to get a copy of this Bible. So you can find here :
[ The Bible Code Lyoko Chart ]
The second element was developed in consultation with the director, the director of writing of season 1 and Tania . Two major figures of Code Lyoko License then emerged : Jérôme Mouscadet , director of the 4 seasons . and Sophie Decroisette , writing director of the first 3 .
This second element which was then developed was called the Literary Bible of the Serie. This Bible sumed up the whole story and the whole concept of the serie. It did not give accurate elements for the different seasons . However, it defined the relationships between the characters, described the personal history of each ( friend, family, elements of the past , age ... ) and the general concept of history : Operation Lyoko , year of development etc. . ..
Nevertheless, these two documents were very fragmentary. Indeed, at the time, Code Lyoko Serie had not revealed its potential and was a cartoon among others produced by Moonscoop . Therefore there was basically no reason to develop them.
Once these two guidelines elements were developed, the writing of the first season started. Scripts were written between January 16 and July 8, 2002 . The first 26 episodes then went through the realization box. The serie was therefore completed.
September 3, 2003 .
This was Code Lyoko’s first appearance on TV and the birthday date of our favorite cartoon . The serie arrived on France 3. It was broadcasted until 25 February 2004.
During the following months, the serie came to the United States and was broadcasted on Cartoon Network from April 19, 2004. It then arrived on Canal J in September of the same year : the franchise was launched successfully.

Season 2, back- story creation & birth of the community
Moonscoop realized long before the arrival of Code Lyoko on Canal J. Discussions were then launched for the season 2 ... and the least we can say is that they lead quickly. On 7 October 2004 , the first scriptsof season 2 had already emerged ...
Before getting there, two key steps .
The first : The writers of Code Lyoko were very interested in the opinion of the fans of the series. Thus during the broadcast of the first season , they went on Catsuka.com forum, where a discussion was born on the animated film . Under the guise of pseudonyms which made no secret of their identity, they took part in discussions with fans. From there, they exchanged on the cartoon : its faults , qualities ... and especially what the fans would like to get an answer to later on especially on the concept .
The second step was crucial .
Code Lyoko was no longer just a cartoon but a frannchise with potential success. Rather than repetitive ( as was the season 1), Season 2 was based on a scenario. Sophie and Jerome Decroisette Mouscadet then changed the Literary Bible of which we talked before. They created the entire back- ground of the serie. To put it simplier : They invented the origins of Lyoko ... The story of Franz Hopper, the creation of the Supercomputer and of Lyoko , XANA’s revolt . Everything was completely invented at that time. Literary Bible would not move until the end of season 4.
Last step, the 3D -CGI was redesigned to boost the series.
Thus costumes heroes evolved slightly in season 2 (appearance of Yumi’s second range) ... New monsters , new places appeared ... and most of all Lyoko changed appearance, became brighter, including the change of Forest Land.
And they started to write Season 2 ...
The episodes were written between October 7, 2004 and April 17, 2005 ...
The series had then a small base of fans scattered on several fansites and blogs ... Note that little date : July 27, 2004, CodeLyoko.fr was born .
As the series has been successful, season 2 got a modest advertising campaign. You can find all the information available to fans in the folder Code Lyoko.fr concocted at the time.
[ Season record 2]
But here's something to put more water in his mouth ... This trailer has gained many new fans to the cause of the serie ... (Including Shaka happened to come on CodeLyoko.fr after seeing ... It is worth mentioning , right?)
And then the starting signal was launched. Season 2 aired on France 3 channel from the August 31, 2005, at a rate of one episode every Wednesday morning. Broadcasting lasted until 8 February 2006. The U.S. had grasped the wave since Code Lyoko Season 2 arrived on Cartoon Network from September 19, 2005, not even a month after the start of the French broadcast. Trade agreements made that Canal J channel began broadcasting only after France 3 had ended. Episodes arrived on the youth channel (Canal J) on April 15, 2006 .
On the side of the community, on September 1, 2005, the V4 CodeLyoko.Fr opened its doors : the site became a reference in the field.

Birth of a titan
The work provided in season 2 was already unusual for a simple youth serie. But if season 2 was to be a continuation of season 1, it also became the narrative arc that would launch Code Lyoko. Its success would be thundering ... to such an extent that even before the French broadcast was completed , the existence of a sequel was already guaranteed!
The franchise had found in France 3, Canal J and Cartoon Network big size financial partners. The phenomenal audience figures of the serie on the channels had attracted funders ... Season 2 had not finished airing that two new seasons were ordered ... for 45 episodes.
The license was gone.
Derivatives began to emerge. The flagship products were yet a serie of novels published by Hachette Youth in the Green Library Collection. The books showed the history of episodes. The first volume came out on Oct. 5, 2005. There would be no less than 12 volumes until December 2009 !
Simultaneously in October 2005, a Panini sticker-album was published .
Other products were commercialized but rather clumsily. Including VHS and DVD of season 1 ... but they did not cover the entire episodes. You can find all the release dates on the home page under the heading in the table.
Code Lyoko, after a good start on France 3 channel and Cartoon Network, was revealed with season 2 in particular through Canal J and Cartoon Network. The success of the serie would quickly bring more derivatives and two new seasons.
